Friday 10 April 2026, 11:11

For the fourth consecutive year, VIVESCIA cooperative group can look back on a successful Francine flour donation campaign alongside the French network of food banks, Banques Alimentaires. This chain of solidarity involves the whole value chain — from cooperative farmers to the mill — in order to provide tangible relief from food insecurity in the northeast quarter of France.

A chain of solidarity, from field to fork

From 1 June to 15 December 2025, the Cooperative group’s entire chain of solidarity was once again engaged in this food drive: VIVESCIA cooperative farmers and its agricultural businesses, Grands Moulins de Paris, the Francine brand, and VIVESCIA transport, joined forces to turn a gesture from farmers into tangible help for the most vulnerable people in society.

For the 2025 edition, VIVESCIA enlisted the help of its milling company, Grands Moulins de Paris, to deliver 100,000 packs of Francine flour (100 tonnes) to local Banques Alimentaires branches and their partner associations in north-eastern France. This significant donation covers one quarter of Banques Alimentaires’ annual needs for its food banks nationwide.

An essential product that provides dignity

This donation represents far more than just volume for the food banks: it is an everyday, high-quality product that the people they support look for and value.

Danièle Regnault, President of the Champagne Sud and Meuse branches, said: “We are delighted to receive this flour. Flour is a staple product: bread is life. Through this donation, we are directly touching people’s lives.”

Didier Linck, President of the Aube branch, underlined that:“The people were support are happy to receive flour. The Francine brand is a guarantee of food safety and quality.”

Dominique Choisy, President of the Marne branch, , added: “It is a very important gesture, that perfectly illustrates the solidarity of the agricultural world. When you have something and you can share it, that’s a real source of satisfaction.”

True to cooperative values

For VIVESCIA, this initiative illustrates the values of solidarity embodied by the cooperative model and its regional presence.

Marie Gailliot, Director of the VIVESCIA Cooperative, member of the Board Committee, and President of the Mazagran section (Ardennes), explained: “Solidarity is part of our Cooperative’s DNA. This long-term partnership with Banques Alimentaires involves our entire value chain — from farmers to primary processing with Grands Moulins de Paris, with the support of VIVESCIA transport — and is completely in line with the Group’s CSR policy. Donating a few kilos of wheat is not a big sacrifice for a farm, but it provides real comfort to those who live with food insecurity.

A long-term partnership for solidarity

On the back of this successful fourth edition, VIVESCIA has announced that it will conduct its next Francine wheat drive between 1 June and 30 September 2026.

The aim is still the same: to continue engaging farmers and the rest of the VIVESCIA collective to constantly strengthen this chain of solidarity from field to fork, to help Banques Alimentaires and their volunteers continue fighting against food insecurity.
