Four sponsors to show the way to our objectives

The new CSR approach is based on 4 commitments and objectives for 2020 - 2025. four sponsors have just been appointed to help steer the right course with vivescia group’s general management and CSR teams.

COMMITMENT 1: 0 accidents by 2020

We take care of the men and women working with us

“Whatever VIVESCIA Group company we work for, we're all united in working towards the goal of zero accidents, as there is no justification for anyone to get injured at work. There is one prerequisite for achieving this goal: the personal commitment of all Group employees to abide by the “8 Life-Saving Rules” in our daily lives. In 2019 there will be a major campaign to train managers. An annual Safety Day, awareness workshops, safety dialogues and training courses all help drive progress Let’s all continue to show our commitment, both personally and collectively!“

JEAN-LUC JONET, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF VIVESCIA AGRICULTURE,
SPONSOR FOR COMMITMENT NO. 1

COMMITMENT 2: 10,000 investors in VIVESCIA Industries by 2025

We make it easier for member-farmers and our employees to invest in VIVESCIA Industries

“While the dividends issued by VIVESCIA Industries are paid back to the farmers by the Cooperative, as of 2010 we decided we wanted to go further, by proposing that individual members of the Cooperative and Group employees buy their own shares in VIVESCIA Industries, through a capital increase. There are now around 4,400 investors, mainly farmers and employees, who have directly invested in our Group, and we’re aiming to double that number in the future by developing the means of accessing this personal share ownership scheme, including for our international employees. This ability to invest in your own company and, in return, access value creation, is fundamental; it’s the expression of our collective project and a powerful driver as we go forward.“

FABRICE BOURGEOIS-ARMURIER, VIVESCIA GROUP HUMAN RESOURCES, COMMUNICATIONS & CSR DIRECTOR
SPONSOR FOR COMMITMENT NO. 2

COMMITMENT 3 : 100% of grain produced or processed using sustainable agricultural practices by 2025

We produce and process grain by sustainable agricultural means

“VIVESCIA is present throughout the entire grain chain, providing the essential link between the farmers who grow the cereals, the manufacturers who add value to them, and the consumers who are nourished by them. VIVESCIA guides and supports farmers every day in developing their agronomic practices. Every day, throughout the world, the Group’s processing companies are tuned to customers’ and consumers’ needs and expectations, innovating to offer them appropriate solutions. At VIVESCIA, we work towards this every day, to have 100% sustainable grain in our fields and processing sites by 2025.”

JEAN-CHRISTOPHE DUVAL, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ARD,
SPONSOR FOR COMMITMENT NO. 3

Jean-Christophe Duval

COMMITMENT 4: 100 projects launched or supported by 2025

We share our know-how within the Group and with those around us

“Entrepreneurship and a taste for opening up new avenues of development have been an intrinsic part of our DNA for the last 90 years. The Grands Moulins de Paris School of Bakery and Patisserie has set the benchmark since 1929 when it comes to teaching bakery skills, while Malteurop’s Malt Academy and Kalizea’s Maize Processing School demonstrate the Group’s commitment to passing on and sharing the latest technical expertise. Our management staff also benefit from this culture through “The Grain Road”. Looking forward, we’ve now decided to reach a further milestone by extending these experiences to other communities and areas.”

CHARLES L’HELGOUALC’H, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF KALIZEA,
