Governance

  • Governance of VIVESCIACommunication, a prime force for decision-making

Balancing responsibilities, the governance system of Vivescia is based on continuous communication which defines the relationship between the cooperative’s management and its administrators. The administrators represent the farmers, set the cooperative’s objectives, and ensure that they are achieved.

  • Members and management: a balanced system of governance

Although the management team is responsible for the cooperative’s operations, the “political” decision-making power is with its shareholding-members, represented by their section delegates, their administrators, and their president.

  • Time for decisions to mature

The decision-making process of Vivescia gives a key role to debate in the different bodies that bring together the management and the administrators – the conseil d’administration (board of administrators) and the bureau d’administration (administration committee).

Each stage is an opportunity to enable projects to mature and improve up to the final decision.

  • Search for approval and respect for others

Members are involved through their 18 section committees, to whom the administrators present their projects: this desire to obtain the approval of each member is an important aspect of the respect for others, a key value of Vivescia.
